The whole "queen" thing is probably going to end when this one dies. Giving it up before then would be like flipping a double-bird to a nice, old lady. Most Canadians don't support flipping off old ladies.

Canadians and Americans are similar, but not the same. The differences in economics and government policy are at least partially to blame.

Every country has it's differences. But Canada and the States are so similar (probably because *gasp* they are right beside each other!)
THAT and Canada just listens to whatever the state's has to say or else we get beaten.
It is like a good relationship! The states tells us what to do, and we listen.

Yeah, just like that time when we sent our troops into Iraq because the United States threatened us with exclusion from Iraqi reconstruction contract dealings.

Or like that time when we built nuclear silos across the Northwest Territories and the Yukon because the United States had some spares and they strongly suggested we accept them?

For those of you who don't know history, this is sarcasm. Canada turned down the nukes. Hooray!
There was also the time when the USA BAWW'D about our softwood lumber, and we just told them to ******** off. Then they filed a complaint to NAFTA in regards to it, to which the NAFTA panel told the USA to ******** off.

Oh, and remember the time when Mulroney pretty much told Reagan to sign the ******** Montreal Protocol and he listened to us?

Good times.
Disa and AnarchoPhiliac make me feel depressed when they get aggressive on the forums. Anyone who views America in a negative light makes me depressed. I just want to be accepted, not hated.

I do think that many Canadians and foreigners view Americans as inferior and second class.

Then cry me a river.

Not our fault your country sucks so much that it SINGLE-HANDEDLY brought the entire world economy crashing down. Not our fault your country thinks that tending to everyone's healthcare is the most goddamn evil thing to do. Not our fault your country thinks gay marriage and abortion are still "issues".

I mean, even your political parties are pretty much the shittiest in the world. On one hand with those republicans you have a bunch of theocratic social darwinists who think evolution is a myth. On the other side you have a bunch of pushovers who can't stand up for what is right because they're afraid of the aforementioned class-A idiots.

Also, your goddamn agri-subsidies. Michelle Bachmann. Wars of aggression! Fox News. A political system that is pretty much bought out by the private sector!

And you expect us to view your nation in a "positive light" how?

Truth be told, if you were to tier first-world nations, your country may as well fall in second.

A good BA with all the trimmings in Canada will set you back anywhere from $30,000 to $75,000 with no scholarships. That's the entire degree including textbooks (but not dorms or a meal plan).

It's not as great as some places in Europe where they're freakin' free but it's a hell of a lot better than having to take out a goddamn mortgage to pay for the education I needed to get a decent job in the first place.

It's the little things like that, there are many more, that make the difference. There are some things America has that I think are ******** rad, but I wouldn't ever want to live there.

A good BA with all the trimmings in America will set you back between $0 and $80k in America, depending on if you're prior military or not.

Including meal plan and rent. Hurray for the Post-9/11 GI Bill!

We have that deal too, but I consider military service a form of payment.

Although they do pay you for the time committed to service, and train you. The military is pretty good about that.

Barack Obama ******** YEAH.

Also, thanks to teh Nationalizm, putting this on my resume for the rest of my life will give me a major leg up on pretty much any application I ever hand in ever. Aslo, I'm still in and made almost 60k last year, not counting benefits, as an enlisted man.

So yeah. Team America, ******** yeah.
