F-117_Nighthawk Jay Riot v2 F-117_Nighthawk Kaworu 17 Jay Riot v2 Who's rules? I don't know the constitution like the back of my hand, but I do know you can't invade the public sphere with religion in most instances. The gov has the authority to dictate a church's moral standards when it negatively affects citizens of the nation. The federal government's responsibility is to it's people, first and foremost. It's not. Jayrot is just wishing out loud. Ugh, it's common ******** sense nighthawk. Go kill yourself. Quote: For most, marriage is a religious event. We're discussing government recognized marriage. You know? That paperwork you fill out, and those benefits you receive when married? Christ you're a stupid ********. How'd your dad not beat you when you were a kid? No, Jayrot wants to discuss marriage as if religion has nothing to do with it. Religion has an integral role in most American marriages, and therefore Jayrot's desire to have a gov't edict impose on everyone his definition of what marriage should be, is a direct violation of the Constitution. Remember Jayrot, a gov't with the authority to tell Churches what they can teach and what traditions they can practice, is a gov't with the authority to tell you what you can write on this forum, what you can watch on TV, and what books you can read. Too many died on battlefields all over the world, and here in America, to let the likes of you argue, unchallenged, that freedom should be surrendered to gov't elitists. As far as the government is concerned, marriage should have nothing to do with religion. |
